With hands-on site management, we ensure your renovation is executed safely, stays aligned with your budget, and delivers a finish that feels genuinely part of the original home.

TRANSPARENT, ITEMISED RENOVATION QUOTES

RBN Construction breaks renovation quotes down by material and task rather than giving you one figure for labour and another for materials.

That means you can see where the budget is going across demolition, framing, linings, finishing work and individual materials. If the total is higher than you want to spend, RBN can work through the quote with you and identify where a product, finish or part of the scope could be changed without simply cutting corners.

Important conversations are followed up in writing, and enquiries are answered by the next business day wherever possible.

HONEST HOME RECLADDING SOLUTIONS

Recladding a leaky home can reveal damage that was impossible to see before the cladding came off.

RBN Construction allows for this in the way the job is quoted. Rotten timber is treated as a charge-up variation rather than being hidden inside an inflated fixed price. If rot is uncovered, we let you know first, with an indication of the additional work, likely cost and timeframe before repairs proceed.

Where damaged framing is structural and forms part of consented work, council is notified and the required inspection takes place before the framing is repaired. Depending on what is found, damaged timber may need to be removed beyond the visibly affected area.

Recladding can also be a practical opportunity to deal with internal remodelling, insulation or other upgrades while walls are already open, reducing the need to disturb the home again later.

HOUSE EXTENSIONS, GARAGE CONVERSIONS AND GRANNY FLATS THAT WORK WITH THE EXISTING HOME

Adding space is not just about building another room. The new work needs to connect properly with the structure, levels, roofline and cladding that are already there.

RBN Construction undertakes house extensions, structural alterations and garage conversions, including turning existing garage space into properly insulated and lined living areas.

Under New Zealand's updated minor dwelling regulations, building a secondary dwelling or granny flat up to 60m² is easier and more streamlined than ever. We help homeowners take advantage of these rules to add separate family accommodation, a home office, or a rental unit to their property.

Our team coordinates all sub-trades, council inspections, and site logistics so you deal with just one dedicated contractor. Once the build is complete, we reinstate any disturbed lawns or landscaping and can
integrate matching decks to extend your new space outdoors.

BATHROOM AND KITCHEN RENOVATIONS PLANNED AROUND THE WAY YOU LIVE

Bathrooms were among our earliest projects, and we continue to handle all tiling in-house.
Pairing framing and tiling under one team ensures substrate prep and layout lines are planned together from day one, guaranteeing a better finish without third-party subcontractor markups.

A full bathroom renovation can typically be delivered in about two weeks. Simply bring your inspiration images, and we’ll help you select fixtures across various price points using our trade supplier access.

We respect your living space. Work is carefully staged to keep key areas usable, dust barriers are installed, work zones are tidied daily, and temporary facilities can be arranged if you only have a single bathroom.
